WebJun 25, 2016 · Grizzly Tech Support was less than helpful and I finally diagnosed the problem to be the NYLON (plastic) spindle nut was not tight enough to effectively engage the tapered spindle pulley surface to the tapered insert on the spindle itself, so it was slipping. These gears will wear out prematurely or break off a tooth. Additionally, one of the bearings in the gear box just barely touches one of the large drive gears.
